Their careers cover a wide range of professions and have made considerable contributions to the development of Nigeria in particular, and Africa as a whole. They will bring to bear on the work JKS will be doing, their experience, skills and commitment.

Ambassador Jaiyeola Joseph Lewu

Ambassador Jaiyeola Joseph Lewu B.Sc(Econs) M.A (Pol. Econ); M.A (International Relations); M.A.L.D; (International Law and Diplomacy), PhD (Fletcher); Fellow (Harvard); mni.


Ambassador Jaiyeola Joseph Lewu had his Primary Education in St. Mary's Primary School Kabba and his Secondary School in St. Augustine's College, Kaaba. He later went to the University of Ibadan where he obtained B.Sc (Econs) degree in June 1972.


He, thereafter, joined the Nigerian Foreign Service in June 1972 where he distinguished himself, not only as a humble gentleman from Kabba, but as an accomplished intellectual. In addition to the B.Sc. (Econ) degree that he had, when he joined the foreign Service, he was able to add several more degrees, namely B.A (Political Economy) and M.A (Political Economy) from the National University of Ireland, Belfield - Dublin, Ireland in 1976. He obtained M.A; M.ALD(International Law and Diplomacy) in 1979, and Ph.D in 1981 from the famous Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tuft University, Boston, USA. In 1998 he became a Fellow of the Harvard Center of International Affairs, Boston, USA , after undergoing necessary cource work.


In 1999 he was awarded Member of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru Jos. Plateau State, after completing the prescribed course work.
Ambassador Jaiyeola Joseph Lewu climbed the ladder of his profession and reached the apex of his career when he was crowned with an Ambassadorial appointment in 1991. He served the Nation in 4 Continents of the World as he had Postings to Addis Ababa, Dublin, London, Japan and Brazil where he was concurrently accredited to Bolivia and Paraguay.
He represented Nigeria in several bilateral and multilateral Conferences and meetings, including the Commonwealth, Organisation of African Unity(OAU), ECOWAS, the United Nations and other organizations.


On retirement, he was employed by the United Nations in Peacekeeping Operations in Sierra Leone, 2002 to 2006.


Ambassador Lewu is married to Princess Funmilayo Ifemi Lewu and they are blessed with lovely children.
